I like the idea of going back to basics and going the ways that CBBC's saturday morning shows went, and if Chris Bellinger is involved then im sure that this is how it may end up.

By the people named as producers (those of globoloco), we can expect something mad and crazy. It doesnt have to be too different like doing a show like GMTV or something, but live mad, crazy, back to basics, and try and rekindle some things of sm:tv past.

I'd like to see something with the mad elements and wacky side of globoloco, with the format and ideas of Live & Kicking, with the lively, no autocue, 'we have scripts, but just refer to them' approach of the Big Breakfast.

It will be interesting to see how Dick & Dom do against the rugby this saturday morning. They've fought a good battle against it so far, but with the massive audience for sunday morning last weekend, what can we expect this saturday?

We expect a resounding victory for ITV and the rugby. It's not every day we get a home nation in a final, and that gunge throwing silliness will be on every week anyway.

ITV1’s new Saturday morning kiddies’ show sounds like it’s going to be utterly chaotic — it is to be called the
Ministry of Mayhem .

The programme replaces axed SM:tv, which shot Cat Deeley and Ant and Dec to fame.

It will be fronted by stunning ex-CBBC host Holly Willoughby and CITV favourites Stephen Mulhern and Michael Underwood. The fun begins in the New Year.

So basically a Dick and Dom in da Bungalow in disguise, or at least that what it seems, judging by the title.

*Ahem* Mr Sun, but she is currently STILL a CBBC host!

I quite like the sound of the name 'Ministry of Mayhem', its different to it including the word 'saturday' or 'live'. By the sounds of it, it sounds like dick & dom on a bigger scale, but most probably full of autocued scripts and lots of rehersal, and guests!

But still, a good name!

Aston. Does that mean that Holly will be doing both Xchange and Ministry of Mayhem?

Minstry of Mayhem... sounds really naff IMO. But perfect for their new audience target of 1 year olds... and SM:tv has been so good recently.

The only reason SM:tv's been good lately is because it's included been filled with clips from the best days of sm:tv. Though Brian good on Saturday's show.

I dont think the name is that bad, it could have been called, Funville or something wrong. Though I would like to know where the Ministry bit is going to fit into it!

Not too sure about this name, Ministry of Mayhem!!

I don't dislike it but I agree it does sound a bit naff. Having said that Dick and Dom in da Bungalow seemed like a stupid name in the beginning and I've got used to that, so maybe there is hope!

No matter what they call it I guess the real test will be what they put in the show! Wink

I really can't imagine what the shows will be or what the studio will look like!

Does anyone else think this new show will become SM:TV after a year or so? After all, look at the Saturday Show- started very different from L&K but then became very simialr to what L&K was. Actually, I wouldn't be suprised if SM:TV comes back at some point.

Also, one thing I'd realy like to see is when ITV Kids gets off the ground if for them to repeat full editions of SM:TV. There's so much of the show that we would never see again on SM:TV Gold.

Am I right in thinking that at one point ITV wanted to have Dick & Dom on ITV? I know that attempt failed, so it seems that they have 'borrowed' their current show and replaced them with 3 different presenters.

Talking about the new target audience of 1 years old, has anyone noticed that the initals spell MOM! (OK so it's the american version but you get the point) a phrase often used by small children.
