Yep, not sure what to make of it so far, I'll give it until the end of the episode, but there's been a couple of laughs.

Well, errr, that just wasn't very good really. I don't think it was awful, but it wasn't a masterpiece. Richie just seemed to stay in the same mode during the programme constantly. The guy out of Early Doors was terrible. The plot seemed a ;ittle too complex, especially for a first episode.

I think I'll stick to ITV4 reruns for now.

I didn't watch it because I had a feeling it would be poor, especially as the bloke in thelondonpaper said it was one of the worst programmes ever Laughing

Apparently this new one is a straight sitcom whereas the old one was a comedy drama.

Oh well, probably won't get a recomission.

I quite liked it, I don't seem to watch many British drama series, but looking at it as a new programme, which it essentially was (rather than looking at it as being associated with Minder), it kept my attention, and I liked the complexity as it didn't drag out a simple story as most shows seem to in my eyes.

Yeah I could tell what they were trying to do with that bloke from Early Doors and the Post Office ads being involved.

Ratings far better than normal for Five in the time slot, at an average of 2.4 million, or 9.5% of viewers at that time, up 118% of the channel average in 2008. Ratings did fall by 0.4 million during the show though

Those 0.4 probably listened to the theme tune, then turned it off.

Must admit i quite liked it, and surely those are the best original commission ratings Five have had for a long time isn't it? I very much doubt it'll get anything over 2 million next week though. Loved to be proved wrong.

I surprisingly enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Obviously not a patch on the original. Willing to give it another go next week.
