Intrigued to see this news today - no word of who’ll be on the panel or host, other than a now deleted Instagram post with Paul Chowdhry and Dizzee Rascal on set.
I'm happy to see it back but I won't be surprised if it doesn't get past one series, like with the majority of Sky's light entertainment shows. One of which just so happened to be a Buzzcocks ripoff, wasn't it?

Not many do these days, There's Something about Movies did get a second series and A League of their Own is still doing well now on series 15 but nothing really original from them, Russell Howard's Hour has been doing well for them but was inherited from the BBC.
The rip off your talking about was bring the noise which featured Ricky Wilson, Nicole Scherzinger, Tinie Tempah, Katherine Ryan and Joel Dommett and I actually thought was alright nothing really original but did feature some performances on top of games like NMTB used to have.

The Russell Howard Hour
is technically a new format, but is definitely derived from his BBC shows.
Comedians Watching Football... With Friends
wasn't very original and didn't do well either.
I think the Comedy Central deal was in addition to, rather than instead of, his Beeb shows.
He did Russell Howard's Stand Up Central which if anyone didn't see it was a Comedy Central version of Live at the Apollo and did Good News at the same time which at this time had moved to BBC Two for a couple of series after the closure of BBC Three. He left Stand Up Central around the time he went to Sky to do the Russell Howard Hour but he has since presented some travel shows with his mum and those continued up to last year at least.
