Does the ITV Digital STB have a modem in it? I didn't think it did, hence the limitation of interactive features.

It does, as you can use it for the pay-per-view stuff, however for some reason you have to get another box to be able to use ITV Active and access the internet (not to be confused with Sky Active which is their TV shopping/games system).

Ah right, that's what threw me, because I knew you needed ITV Active for the net.

Interactive Millionaire was fab, well done ITV Digital. It provides yet another dimension to WWTBAM as viewers actually become involved. I captured a few screenshots of the service. Note, I switched on mid-contestant so that's why it says 'Playing for fun', and why I scored 0 points. I did actually get the £500,000 questions right, I'm just so clever.

How does the interactive 'Millionaire' make money for ITV..? Look on the top bar of the on screen overlay - the magic letters B and T! Nice sum they have paid for that, considering it's on screen for 45+ minutes of the hour long show.
I have a problem with interactive WWTBAM.
Whoever made up the interactive rules assumes that to get into the prize draw you have to answer EVERY question correctly (inc. the ones that the contestants don't) and get every possible bonus avaliable, before you can phone up and blurt your name and code into the phone.
I got 637,000 points last night and was just about to reach for the mobile phone, only to be informed that the total was not good enough.
Seems a bit harsh that - surly it adds to the fun, ringing up and getting your name into the draw for a prize, even if you don't stand a chance of winning cus some clued up squert in Truro has done miles better than you.
Also I assume that the draw entry line is a premium rate? So why deny yourself ITV an extra £100-200, from callers ringing in to submit the total even though they haven't won.
Banzi interactive on E4 let's you register your score no matter how low.
