The new 'only 12 questions' is clever in that the fewer questions comes from mainly removing three from the pre-£1000 stage, which all but a handful of contestants have got to anyway. The next stage is a further five questions later as before, though this time is worth more being £50K.
The new titles, graphics, and music makes for a refreshing change. I'm glad they've kept the original set, as the layout seems to work quite well still. I noticed the phone in (to be a contestant) had more information rotating on the screen, presumably in light of the phone in saga.
A good show so far, and seems to be a good celebrity pairing for relaunching the show. It was amusing (though perhaps slight predictable) to watch Jon Culshaw suddenly impersonate Chris Tarrant. As for whether the changes will keep the series going only time will tell, as not every week will have a pair of comedians in the chair.

It's a mixed bag. Music-wise the upbeat remixed dancey-ness of the main theme and the earliest questions takes the seriousness and edge off the atmosphere which is no good thing...
- but then once it's past £1000 it becomes tense and a bit ominous, which is much more like what I would've expected, and it fits the new graphic style and scheme better.
Speaking of the graphic updates, they are fine, apart from perhaps the font change for the question/answers text.
NB: Coming out of the break just then there was a bit of a nasty glitch over the sponsorship - was that just me?

I got that snowstorm sound, like you get on channel presets not tuned to an analogue signal - with the sound on. I got that on ITV1 through my system: Freeview from Rowridge using a Pace DTVA. Downright annoying really, it sounds awful. I hope it's just a temporary fault they'll rectify soon.
