Well he will obviously be winning it next week but will people watch the show to the end once he's answered the winning question. It's not really must see anymore.

I think you're right, I won't be watching it to the end...there's only so much of Chris Tarrant sucking air through his teeth I can take! I just want to see what the £1,000,000 question is.

The 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' that's on now...is it the one where the bloke wins a million? I know I should wait til the end to see, but I'm going out!

Is it just an unfortunate coincidence that his first name is the same as 'the coughers' (Ingram) surname if he is the big winner??

Erm, sorry but wasn't this information in the other thread hidden for a reason? It's no good presuming nobody doesn't wan't to know, but now anyone who views the lists of thread on TV Home Forum wont have a choice.

Apologies to anyone who has found out when they didn't want to...I didn't realise it had been hidden in a different thread. Changed the title anyway so it's not quite as obvious! Sorry again.

Actually, the cougher's surname was Whittock.

... how often does it happen these days.... the 1m winner.... huh? I'm sure ITV will score well in the raitings war on Sat night, with Ant and Dec back and X Factor etc...

Millionaire managed over 6 million viewers on Saturday and almost drew with Casualty

This is more than the usual average, so it proves that a £1m winner still does bring the viewers in

Yes, but unless the show has a £1m winner every week, then they need to do something. I propose move the show to an earlier slot on a Saturday evening. It shouldn't be axed, but it doesn't deserve its primetime slot.

It just needs rescheduling.

It isn't a programme now that ITV can put on and guarantee it will beat the competition - but it is something people will still often watch and enjoy when nothing else is on.

They'd be better off pulling it from the Autumn schedule which is packed with The X Factor, Ant and Dec and Afterlife - and instead running it through the summer when there is less competition - both from the BBC and for it's own slot on ITV1.

Otherwise it could work on a weeknight - but the ITV1 schedule would need to be torn up and rewritten for that - something which is probably needed, but unlikely!

And as said before, taking it to daytime wouldn't be the worst idea if they keep the top prize - it just depends how feasable it is, though the average contestant wins about the same on Deal or No Deal as on Millionaire.

I agree. Its so rare that someone wins a million on this show anyway regardless of whether it gets high ratings when it actually happens. The show definately needs something doing to it, either that or axe it completely.
