I'd have even thought that they should've aired the special a couple of weeks later, isn't there less money in the celebrity special?
Launching with the celebrity special on Saturday 17th October at 9pm, ahead of the Mon-Fri strip of the regular series.
Seems a bit odd to launch with the celebrity special, you'd expect that to air the following Saturday.

No, the celebrity special is also £1 million.
When they first announced it they said the celeb special would be £250k but they seem to have changed their minds (presumably realising how daft it looked making a fuss out of the £1 million prize only to then revert for the special).

It’s duos in the main show as well.
Looks like they actually have teams of celebs now rather than individuals
Mo Gilligan and David Ajao

So they're still calling celebrity specials the million pound cube despite the fact the celebrity specials are still £250000?

Same with DOND, of course - if it was 4:50 and the contestant was deliberating over the 8-box offer, you knew they were going to say "deal".
Without rollovers it makes it way to easy to say when a game is going to end. With £100K drop, they never have rollovers, so if it was 4.55pm you knew that the pair was going to get out in the next question.
