The pace feels a bit quicker tonight even though they seem to be given more thinking time for each question. I think they are using extra graphics which show the cash total and the number of questions left and new graphics showing the amount of money lost on the screens behind the drops.
I couldn't help wondering why Davina kept making a big thing about the money being 'used banknotes'. They're only props, but why is it so important that the notes are used?
I wonder if it's so they don't have to keep making up new neat bundles after the existing ones have been chucked about by the contestants and dropped.
Watching Davina bluff her way through this is bringing back memories of Barry from Eastenders presenting the 24 Hour Quiz...
What other gameshow was this David Blaine question used on recently?
EDIT:
I think it might have been Endemol's Divided on ITV1 last week.
I thought that was better than yesterday. The bits where the stagehands/security replaced the money and the filling time at the end where a bit clunky but that didn't ruin the show. At this rate, it will be a great show by Saturday.

Yes, there wasn't a graphic telling us how much had dropped last night.
One thing that is annoying me is that they don't show the possible answers on screen for long. We only see them for a brief second at the back of the set and then when they're trying to work out what they're going to put the money one I'm going 'what are the options again?'. I didn't notice it last night as I was playing online
It's nice to have a vaguely clever pair of contestants now*, I do wonder if anyone will actually walk away with anything by the end of the week though
*EDIT - although I think I spoke too soon

Assuming it is real money they're presumably retrieving it immediately in case their was an emergency evacuation of the building or similar. Looking at the set there appears to be a perspex cage suspended above the play area, which perhaps could also be lowered down to secure/isolate the cash in an emergency.
It was OK on Monday, good last night and brilliant tonight. Question standard is a bit hit and miss - that last Question 1 was much tougher than earlier first questions, but if it gets recommissioned I'd imagine such things would be sorted for series 2.
I'm a bit confused by the last couple who got to the 8th question - was it stated that they had to gamble it all on one of the two answers, or could they have split the money?

You always have to have one drop zone clear, which means at the end, you have to gamble everything on one question! Felt sorry for the guys tonight, so close to over half a million...I'd be in bits!
