After a very long time on Newsroom South East, Mike Embly is leaving. He's a good presenter shame though he has to go. Let's hope someone tells him about TV Home, those computers are always there!!

South Today not that bad a program, (not that you were saying it was of course) got a slightly different bed if I remember rightly than NSE. And they changed the titles a while back just a slight change though when they lost oxford I think it was.
(So many changes in TV, I can't keep up!)
I have to say that, in terms of local news coverage, the new South Today Oxford sub-opt is excellent - more focused on Oxfordshire than Central South (which covers a pretty large area over Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire, Worcestershire, Buckinghamshire and possibly others!). However, I think it looks really dodgy - really cheap-looking CSO background with apalling interference around the presenter. And that background shot (down the High street) is extremely poor - they must be a million better shots of the Oxford skyline that they could get (including more of the spires etc). I'm a Central fan, I'm afraid!
Well, Mike Embley has a busy weekend, he's on this afternoon from 1300 until 1900, filling in for Philip Hayton, and he's filling in for Chris Lowe on Sunday between 1900 and 0000.

Shame, I prefered Geeta Guru Murthy when she did the 1300 - 1900 last Saturday
We should see more of her, I think she would be good on the weekday programe like from 20.00 with Gavin Estler
