I thought this had a great start, well done ITV this is one of your few good sit-coms I can remember.

Yeah, that it's a film that was in no way connected to any ITV production, or is this just another seed? Wink

Mike Bassett: England Manager was the film; the programme to which wells referred was indeed a sitcom on ITV1, and it was on last night. Check your facts before mocking others, darling - otherwise you just look stupid.

I have to agree with you, for an ITV comedy that was spun off from a Mockumentary film it was bloody good, good laughs throughout, especially liked the Ron Atkinson gag.

I will be watching next week, it looks really promising.

Doesn't appear to have gone down too well in Scotland..

Poor Scottish TV, it had sod all to do with them as well. I always fear for the BBC Scotland/Scottish TV duty office whenver a throwaway joke which has serious connotations is screened in Scotland, or during any rampant English celebrations of cricket/rugby success, as it's not their fault. Unless they screen England: A Celebration of course..

Glad you enjoyed it too.....did you see Episode 2?

What fate befell that portly lad captured by the rampant mob ?

No more was said in the episode, but he appeared at the following match I think.

Hi, Thorsten, welcome to TVF.

I thaught episode 2 was brilliant! I think the big guy was OK by the next match, the part where he was mauled by the mob was excellent though!

I think one of the best characters is the Serbian Goalie, just the was he said Rochdale before putting his hand across his neck cracked me up!

Can't wait for ep.3
