I did read it only had a 15 week run so should be ending by end of July, may have been extended though.

Mighty Truck of Stuff is being taken off air early.

There will be an interim CBBC show for 8 weeks...

Um, no.

It was supposed to run 'till September. It's not because the powers that be don't really like it.

And with a name like Riverside (where MTOS is of course based) who can argue? Wink

And Aston, either you're an outright liar (which I don't believe to be the case) or you have been very misinformed.

And based on what I can see as a mod I'll shan't argue either.

Since when have summer replacement saturday shows finished in the middle of the summer. I would have expected it to continue until the middle of September like all its predecessors have done before

Certainly what CBBC staff were expecting before I left. It's quite possible they were comissioned till July with an option to extend.

I certainly know that CBBC wasn't expecting to make its own in house Saturday AM programme until September, hence a very quick turnaround for this 8 week only show...

I def remember Broadcast magazine reporting that MTOS had been commissioned for 15 weeks, and I think Reggie said "for the next 15 weeks" on the first one. Does seem odd though - why stop it half way through the summer?

It wouldn't suprise me if 'new' programmes are given a shorter run with the possibility of extending the run. I'm fairly sure that happenned with series 3 of Dick & Dom, as I'm sure it was originally only meant to run over the summer but went on for longer.
