Nick looks like he's trying to impersonate Dr Evil from the Austin Powers movies.
He's used his evil influence to sabotage the 'window' (either that or completely destroyed Birmingham City Centre, so that blackness actually is the view...)
That doesn't look too bad as it is. I've always thought that the 'window' behind the presenters was a bit of a distraction, as my mind has often wandered to that. I've found myself thinking 'I wonder if anything is going to happen', like an explosion, another fly walking across the screen etc instead of paying attention to the stories.
If this look was adopted, it would reduce 'visual clutter'. I like it, even though it's a fault.
No it looks more like another case of 'Midlands Today - Who Farted?'.
Hehehehe, just you wait until I've got my capture facilities and my new computer!
Max quote: 'I really loved that topic About who farted', thanks! As its creator, I aim to please!

Well Look North must share the same thoughts as Katherine as that's the exact reason why Leeds dropped showing the window in the sidebar shots when Christa arrived...

I'm just waiting for the screens on Sky News to break down. They're only ever out of that studio for a maximum of 30 minutes.
A few weeks ago Sky News started turning off the newswall during the night, and used side angles looking at a monitor bank in the newsroom.
