After watching Michael McIntyre's Big Show, I'd like to congratulate BBC One for finally breaking their horrific streak of new albeit terrible Saturday night programmes. They've finally cracked it.

I must iPlayer it, as I do like a bit of Michael McIntyre - glad to hear that it worked. I hear that Text to All is back (although celeb-based which makes it lose some of its charm, IMHO)...

The charm was lost a little. He usually did it with people in the audience except for the one occasion I recall when he and James Corden swapped phones and played. The joy was hearing the responses from other famous names. Everybody on Ginger Spice's phone were just people she knew. But that's my only gripe with it so far. I feel it's what The John Bishop Show was supposed to be rather than a fancier Live at the Apollo. I must admit I expected this show to be very similar.

It was a mix between Live At The Apollo and Sunday Night at the Palladium with the "Send To All" segment taken from his defunct talk show.

From what I saw of it I would watch it again.

There was a bit of DFYToothbrush in the bit I saw - surprising an audience member with cameras in her house

Or Dame Edna's Neighbourhood Watch, which predates DFYT.

Yes, that's the other show I was trying to think of

As a big Michael McIntyre fan I was quite excited about this. Didn't necessarily live up to my high expectations but was an enjoyable watch regardless.

I'll definitely be tuning in again this Saturday but one hope I have is that this send to all segment is better than Geri's. Like others have expressed, it lacked something and I'm not sure if it's because it's a celebrity thing now or whatever but hopeful for this Saturday's.
