Michael Jackson allegations

Liquid News at 2030 tonight on BBC Three has been giving extra coverage on the allegations surrounding Michael Jackson. Does anyone know how it's being covered in the US?

And to think that ITV1 have been advertising their Michael Jackson programme tonight all week and its been pulled LOL

I heard the announcer mention into Emmerdale that we're getting a David Jason thing THE QUEST instead.

How unfortunate, as if the viewers werem't pissed off enough with ITV1

Today is also the day his new album was released, lol.

The attitude from American press seems to be 'Oh no, not again'. Any caps from Fox or such-like, or are they all focussing on the state visit.

Apparently Court TV broke the story so I imagine they're wall to wall with it. It was on Fox half an hour before Sky according to someone on Digital Spy.

I would imagine some networks will put this top, others will put George W's trip to Britain top.

As for here, there's been a hello of a lot of stories breaking underneath these too, plus important stuff in the Soham trial so I don't think it's getting as much exposure as it would if there wasn't as much news as there is.

CourtTV's Diane Dimond is enterprising the story for their programs, "Catherine Crier Live" and "Hollywood At Large". CourtTV broke into their regular schedule with Dimond on the phone around lunch time here.

Fox News Channel and MSNBC broke in shortly after with their take on the story, both reporting what Dimond was reporting on CourtTV. From what she has said, she was given the heads-up before the warrant was executed, so CourtTV had cameras in place outside Jackson's ranch.

By later this afternoon, the other networks (Fox News,MSNBC & CNN) had choppers in the air over the ranch. Nothing to see, and as you can imagine, speculation is running rampant.

Back to CourtTV, "Catherine Crier Live" has just started, and they're running with this with full interviews of everyone that you can think of. They are pointing out that this warrant is unrelated to the 1993 warrants, but that there is a new allegation from a 12 year-old boy.

No it wasn't... Originally Liquid News was scheduled for a first transmission at midnight - with What Not To Wear at 2030, after EastEnders revealed. It was a late schedule change for Liquid News to be shown live at 2030.
