According to Sky, BBC are 'incandescent with rage' at Grade.
Was just about to post that - allegedly they knew nothing about it until tonight.
On News 24 someone from the BBC is saying he doubts the share price will rise much until he outlines his plans, and also insinuated turning ITV around is a job that will challenge even Grade. He was laughing nervously.
Excellent news for ITV (rather sad for BBC though). It's something MG has always been destined for (almost a heritage, you might say)......perhaps now we can see real investment in new programmes, and a return to the real values of the main commercial broadcaster.
This is certainly the man to take ITV plc through analogue switch-off and beyond!
IMO, this is great news, and hopefully, we may eventually see ITV being restored to the once great TV organisation it used
to be before the rot started setting in during the 1990's. Perhaps Grade would even be brave enough to bring back ITV's
regional identities, instead of the generic corporate nonsense we've had to put up with over the last several years.

Why oh why do your posts ALWAYS contain superfluous carriage returns. It really does my head in!

ITVs problems will not be solved by doing that, besides as 'Executive Chairman' (or whatever title he's getting) he'll be above that sort of thing - working deep down at corporate level rather than directly on the programming

I wonder if the current Director of Programmes will last for long though...
