Just seen the god that is Michael Beurk on BBC Breakfast. Since when? Thoughts?

Perhaps in the light of yesterday's news they thought they needed one heavyweight on the programme.

Michael has always been down to do some Breakfast shifts - nothing to do with the bomb yesterday.

It was announced yesterday morning that he would be on today. Nice to see him on too. Not as good as Dermot IMO but better than some of his replacements. Smile

Is it me or has his face got wrinklier? S'pose it happens as you get older but I thought TV personalities had all this expensive stuff that hid things like wrinkles!

It had been listed down for a while. He was a lot better than Dermot, however, he did keep looking at Natasha in a funny way Wink .

I think he will be in a better combination with Sian Williams, later in the week.

Yeah, I remember him and Sian on the millenium programme a few years back. They were only together on screen for a few minutes, but they were very good together - Sian's delicate hands or something stupid were the topic of conversation. Should be good on Breakfast later this week, and I think Natasha has all of next week off, so there will be more of Sian with Michael then too.

What a shock to see the legend that is MASSIVE MICHAEL back on our TV Screens.

At this rate, he could become as popular as BIG MOIRA

Won't that be like a step down for Sophie - since she was the main presenter - but is now reading the bulitins, even if it is just for a short while Confused

No - Monday is a bank holiday - so it is quite common for one senior presenter to read all the main BBC One bulletins (lunchtime, teatime and late) rather than have the individual One/Six/Ten presenters coming in for shorter bulletins.
