This is sad news

Film director Michael Apted, best known for the Up series of TV documentaries following the lives of 14 people every seven years, has died aged 79.
Quite a bittersweet twist with his death being in the last year of his 70s, and quite interesting to think about how technology today means you can essentially see someone develop from 0 up due to parents perhaps sharing too much on Facebook!
I wonder if ITV will carry on with at least a 70 up, although perhaps quite difficult with the participants having such a close connection with Michael, could be a combined final show and tribute I suppose
