I don't know about the other people on here who have DTT, but I for one am getting feed up of seeing that red MHEG caption appear at the bottom of the screen whenever I either switch onto a BBC channel that is showing news, or when the news begins say on BBC ONE.
For those of you who don't know, on DTT since News Interactive launched on DSat, on DTT we've been given a nice little caption that appears at the bottom of the screen in a semi-transparent red, which informs us that by pressing the red button, we can access news and so on from BBCi text. This remains on screen for perhaps 5-10 seconds.
Whilst I didn't mind this up until about a week ago, I'm now starting to get a little feed up with it appearing everytime I switch to BBC News 24, or over to BBC1 during the Six O'Clock news, for example. I know perfectly well now that I can get to news headlines during BBC News programmes by pressing red - I don't need this ramming down my throat anymore. When I got DTT it was for the superior widescreen picture and surround sound - not to have a bloody caption plastered over a proportion of the screen every so often.
Sorry - rant over, merry Christmas everybody http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/biggrin.gif
