I would recommend caution over that heading "Mersey Morons", particularly in view of the way YOU have reacted in the past over things in other people's signatures.
Whatever your feelings about Mersey Television's actions, you're leaving yourself wide open to retaliation from those who you've effectively stamped on in the past.

Mersey TV did not assume production until 2002. Phil Redmond quit as Grange Hill's executive producer in 1982 to found Mersey TV but remained actively involved with Grange Hill throughout the 1980s. In the 90s and early 2000s, Phil's role was little more than that of a "parent governor", attending an annual scriptwriters' meeting to thrash out ideas. At this point Grange Hill was still being produced at Elstree by freelancers. The deal for Mersey TV to take over production was signed in March 2002 and filming the new-look Grange Hill began later that year. Once again, Phil was executive producer.

Uhh, what kind of a remark is that!?
I've looked at this website a lot of times, and it looks as though a lot of work has gone into it and it has been shut down for no good reason other than petty Mersey TV who can't take a little web competition.
And if no one gave a "toss" as you put it about that site then why would Mersey TV care so much about shutting it down.

Simon,
I know you have put a lot of work into the website, but the fact is that Mersey TV and the BBC own the intellectual rights to Grange Hill and everything associated with it. You know that, you always have known that. I'm surprised they didn't act when the video clips appeared, I guess they simply didn't see them. If they had it'd have been shut down some time ago.
If you owned a successful brand you'd want to be in control of it and that's the position Mersey TV have taken.

It's bad enough TVH has gone.We cant have Grange hill online going aswell.I havent even seen the titles to the new series because i don't put CBBC on till 5 because that's when CiTV finishes and Noah and saskia is breaking tradition! If GH Online goes,i don't know how to see the new titles if there are any.
But if it does go,i hope at least a byker grove one emerges,or another GH site,or both!
