Ooh not long to go now until some fat bloke dressed all in red delivers lots of presents to us all. Don't anyone dare tell me that's not true, because you're wrong, it's all an attempt to corrupt my innocence.
Now, what is the purpose of this thread you may be asking yourselves, and fear not it is TV related.
I'd rather like to know what the broadcasters are planning to decorate their news studios with over the festive season.
Last time Sky had not one but two trees with lots of lights and decorations, as well as adapted idents to say 'Merry Christmas' etc. Is there a chance they may do something christmassy with that big newswall of their's? Would look very nice indeed. I didn't notice the the Beeb do anything last time! I was expecting a lovely big tree behind the News 24 presenters, and perhaps Mr Edwards in a party hat, but not a thing. Now, all you BBC bods reading this forum, you listen to me, this time put up a bloody big tree and make the place look happy.
I know Sky News have used christmas idents over previous years. The 'egg' ident was adapted to a Christmas pudding and the 1993 idents had a new look with 'From the Sky satellite network, a merry Christmas from all of us here at Sky News'. Lovely.
So, what are news broadcasters planning, or what would you like them to do?
I'm asking now because we had the first mention of Christmas on GMTV Today, this morning. Eamon Holmes mentioned how all of the adverts are now festive etc.
Post away.
