Meridian - finally being demolished

With over 3 years wait, Meridian at Northam is finally being bulldozed. I originally took pictures I posted on this site back in May 2005 of the site boarded up; in the last 2 weeks the larger studio at the back is being pulled down.

With Maidstone no longer in the hands of ITV what is left in teh south?

Well there are the studios in Whiteley.

And obviously Maidstone, as you say, now belongs to the local consortium although the Meridian newsroom is based there.

If you can call three broom cupboards, studios.

and No tapes are kept there.

Won't that be the new home for the various West/South West opt-outs for news though, if ITV plc get their way?

Er, I'm sure there'll be some tapes in both locations

We waited 3 years for Pebble Mill
and 11 Years for ATV Centre/Central House

What about Derry's Cross (former home of TSW/Westward) - I heard that was being demolished too.

Pebble Mill was only empty or a few months before work started. Central House is still there, just
