Apart from .tv & The Amp, Sky had no say over those channels closing down.
Yeah I did know, not SKY themselves for everything but becuase of them channels going the whole 'pay-so-I-can-watch-stuff-I-want-to-watch' thing has become rather pointless now.
BTW Ive never worked this out before but CITV Channel isn't on sky

The CITV channel is expected to launch on Sky in May.
Whatever my opinion on ITV Play (good or bad) I'm really not sad to see the demise of M&M from Freeview. There's only SO MANY episodes of "Police Camera Action" a person can take!
Before this latest development, had M & M moved 'muxes'?
The reason I ask is, when I first had my cheapo Freeview box last year, I'm sure I had it on, then about 2 months later, I had my Sky box & thought nothing of it.
Recently I've had to check people's Freeview set ups & I've noticed M & M hasn't appeared, but all the channels that are encrypted, like Discovery, Uk Gold, Setanta etc popped up on the list, plus one person at work have told me M & M told me he hadn't been able to get it. (I guess he'd done the rescanning regulary too!)
It's obviously arguable how much of an asset Men and Motors is to Freeview.
It has certainly changed a bit since it came to Freeview - and like many Freeview channels they are good when they are new, but soon fall into the trap of repeating the same old programmes time and time again!
What I object to really is how easily ITV can change the use of it's space - as OFCOM basically grant licences to channels regardless of space on the spectrum - and then ITV can choose what channels to use that space for.
We've already seen a news channel effectively change into a mens channel - and subsequentally a childrens channel - and now we we see a mens channel change into a quiz channel.
This is where OFCOM need to be tougher. If ITV News had decided just to broadcast male orientated programmes in the evening they'd have probably been in breech of their licence - but ITV could take half of it's airspace and air male orientated programmes on a different channel number.
Personally I have no problem with ITV launching ITV Play - I'd rather it all be on one channel you can avoid to be honest.
My bigger problem is with general channels including ITV1, ITV2, Men and Motors and FTN giving away sizable chunks of their schedules to these sort of programming - with no real regard for what the channels should really be showing.
I loved watching M&M, and I just cannot believe they have just withdrew it from Freeview! What did they say the reason was for doing that again? Anyone think that it should immediately re-instated? I'm one.
So the transfer of programmes between M&M & ITV4 begins - Police Camera Action. How much longer before ITV4 replaces M&M slot (11am to 6am) on satellite and ITV Play replaces ITV4 (6pm to 6am) , again, on Satellite ????????

Well hopefully that's what should happen - although I doubt the new profit-only ****-style ITV will want to miss out on squeezing money out of the stay-at-home 6am-6pm viewers.
