And Charles Allen? Riggghttt.....

So you're saying that Charles Allen, the head of the country's biggest commercial TV network.... isn't powerfull? Rolling Eyes

Not really, he's answerable to shareholders a lot. He doesn't hold much in the way of power.

Then again, these lists mean nothing. I'm sure lots of people on it would laugh out loud at even being included.

He has lots of power over those who work for him and ITV's suppliers. In terms of turnover and budgets, ITV has a heck of a financial clout, whch brings the person in charge a lot of power

Curious that Gates scores so highly, since really apart from MSNBC I can't think of any major media interests MS have, and I thought they had reduced their influence in MSNBC some time ago. Combined with his attempts to reposition himself as more of a philanthropist - apart from whoring out the Xbox 360 to MTV, he's hardly an influential media mogul.

I suppose he's on the list, because 90% of computer systems run off Microsoft? Confused: Confused: Just a guess Confused Who decides these things anyway? Confused
