Massive Update Tomorrow

But... because of the fact that I am most likely to be closing down my 'wonderful' (thank you Square Eyes) website, as I am becoming a TV Ark affilate and will require the website for that.
So I most likely will not be putting any of the files listed below on my website, however if there are any specific idents that people want I will do so.
(Note all Idents will be in R8.5)

Ok here is what I am planning to add.

- BBC Video Idents, the idents used to introduce the BBC Video Collections including the orignal neon sign style ident!

- Sky 1995 images, the one with the curtains.
- CNN 'It's 5pm In London and...', CNNUS recognising it actually has international viewers!
- Granada Stripe 1992
- Granada Xmas 1993, never seen on any tv sites
- Granada 1994 Continuity
- Full set of Meridian idents
- Sky Sports 1996 images
- Sky News Idents from 1998, all of the different versions
- Sky News 1996 ident
- All of the YTV idents
- Full length Border and Meridian Hearts idents (no annoucer)
- Granada Xmas Continuity - pictures
- Channel 4 Block idents

Now, I am doing a massive traul through about 30 old tapes our ours tomorrow so I am expecting to find many many more, if anyone would like specifically any of the above though then just post what you would like, I don't want to upload things that no-one will download.

Incidentally, Asa when I close my site I will donate these to you!!

Phew...

I finally chosen a design for my website, which after the last two weeks of drawings, and planning, i can now finally get to work!

If I hadn't chosen the colour blue in the first place I got an influx of emails 'Your site looks like TV Home' and 'God your a copycat, haven't you got any design skills?' You people know who you are!!!

Anyway, I have opted for some nice soothing colours - my index page will give you some idea to what the site will look like:

Wow James. The design and colours are amazing. Good job! But the sites not up yet, right? What computer programme did you use to make that?


And chesh, I'd like to see the BBC Video ident (the current one really) -- and could you get it in mp3 if it's not too much trouble. And If you could upload the Sky News stuff and CNN stuff ---- thank's a lot! When will you be 'joining' TV Ark, and what will you be doing there?

Chesh, I love the 1996 ones, the first oval towery one, with both curtains and not, can you upload anything and everything you've got from then, they are my favourite idents ever.

They will be very appreciated, thank you! I've got a bit of a surprise myself that many TV Home members will enjoy when the site returns (fingers crossed) next month!

Also, if you are interested I will send you the oh so wonderful tapes I have been sent by the stations from the ITV network.
The Carlton tape is perhaps the highlight.
It has literally every single (except the one I wanted!!!!) carlton ident, each version all sizes of each version.... very dull but worth a look.

What's this suprise then.... oh yeah 'it wouldn't be a supr...'

As for Sky 1995 idents...
My craft mother taped, oh just remembered another one... anyway, my crafty mother taped Les Mis (which I have seen and it is very good) on Sky One in 1995.
This included many trailers, promos idents etc, during the ad breaks etc.
I am planning to upload them tomorrow evening.
From what I recall there are a few promos etc and I have just remembered that there is also a Sky One (1995) Xmas ident.
So quite a lot of stuff to upload!

As for TV-Ark. They are basically looking for people to hold various parts of the site, I will either be doing the news or satellite section, most probably news.

Now, Mich... the 1996 ones or the 1995 ones?!
The 1995 one was the one with the huge fanfares (the better ones). Basically the curtain split vertically in half and the tower turned in at an angle.... put simply, is it A) or B)?

Chesh, any Sky and Channel 4 images from the past would be brilliant because there seems to be so little of them around!
I loved Sky in the mid 90's. I loved the way it was all the same but different. I think that kind of generic worked. Images and videos from it would be great!

I didn't get much chance to do any more as I had to go out for a while.

The Sky Promo has all of the logos, except Sky News from 1995, they are the 1995 style, the 1996 style came in later in the year.
