I wonder why they have an American as a judge when it's obvious he's not going to have heard of most of the sort of people who'd do a show like this. Yes, I don't think there's a chance in hell he'd know who
It's quite clever as the panel can predict big names and build up audience expectations without them having to pay for big names
Clever? Or deceptive?
On the promos for it they were teasing David Beckham and other insane names as if they would compete on some random singing contest.
It’s a good idea in theory... but cue disappointment at the end when it turns out that all the people are random soapstars is sports personalities. Though of course the guesswork will keep viewers hooked throughout the series. So for ITV I’m sure they won’t be complaining.
While I doubt it would happen on the UK version in this series at least, you can get big Hollywood names to appear on the show, as Ryan Reynolds did to promote Deadpool.
Doesn't mean anything. Completely different markets.
It has lost 1m viewers since the first episode.
I'd say the American market is a lot tougher in terms of sustaining attention.
"1 million loss" makes a good headline but a drop was to be expected from Saturday to Sunday. The proof will be how many it manages to sustain from Saturday to Saturday. Perhaps stripping it would have been a better option, but only time will tell.
It would have been much better if they stripped it across a week. It's too spaced out like this and I can see the ratings falling even further come this weekend.

To be fair, that Ryan Leynolds performance was a special, one-off opening act, and not a part of the competition.
Talking about special stage, Ken Jeong once appeared on the original South Korean version, disguised as a 'Golden Pig', ahead of the premiere of the American version.
The US version is still big but I think it has lost some momentum, no really surprising acts just ex "Dancing with the stars" contestants.
Last nights UK reveal was brilliant imho, a brilliant production. I suspect the ratings will be back up next Saturday with weaker opposition

Do you have to be so negative? Just see how it goes.
I liked it but just thought it went on to long. I think it would have been better being a 60 mins show with 3 celebs the winner goes through to the final and then reveal the other two.

Looking through, I understand the criticisms.
From now on (in ITV's eyes), it will surely be about keeping the ratings consistent and making sure it doesn't drop even lower.
Twitter made the show look awful when in reality, it wasn't that at all.
I want the show to work, but that's just me, I'm hopeful
