BM11, please stop the spoiler tags. If ITV have trailed a guess as part of their promotion then it doesn't need to be hidden!
I thought trailers were seen as spoilers. Sorry.

Love the codenames but they all relate to the celeb so someone during the production not knowing the identity hearing them could work out some identities.

ITV are might be misunderstanding audience knowledge teasing Barrowman and then revealing someone not known at all to some of the viewers who really like Barrowman - they wont feel surprised but confused. Tricks like that work best when both are known to the same section of the audience or have similar levels of general fame.
I do expect at least one clickbait tabloid article of viewers puzzled when Skin and Kellis are unmasked but the show is established enough that hardly any viewers who don't know them will switch off.
The 25-50 generation is clearly the target audience - there is no one with a target base under that (Unlike in the USA where they had an internet star. ) and only really Alan Johnson as a name over 50's might be expected to recognize more than much of the target group,

Don't worry, I think they'll be fine.
Er yeah I think Kellis in particular definitely won't be generating any of those sorts of articles.

DO
So, despite all your complaints, it's not going to affect the numbers of people watching, which is all ITV care about.
The way you were going on about it before you'd expect there to be no audience left by the time it got the final as more and more people got annoyed by not knowing the entire life stories of every contestant.

I suspect the show doesn't do massively well among the people who don't know the majority of the lineup anyway and for ITV the more under 50's watching the better - the same 5 million being 50% over 60 would not be as profitable.
DA
Yeah but I think "as opposed to what?" is what we're wondering.
I'm saying that ITV are more concerned with the ratings for the show. Ratings=profits.
