Market share of british broadcasters

Where can I find the current market shares of the leading british broadcasters like BBC, ITV, Sky...?

IIRC it's something like this, based on averages...

BBC1 25%, BBC2 10%, ITV1 25%, C4 10%, Five 6%, Sky 24%

Though year on year BBC1 and ITV1's share is falling whilst Five's and Sky's keeps growing.

BBC One's share is ahead of ITV1 by a couple of percentage points. And when you say "Sky", you do of course mean "Multi-channel"

Yeah of course I do, but as I said I wasn't 100% sure (hence the IIRC) but I would have guessed that they were the same on average.

I always just guessed that BBC One and ITV1 were roughly the same, though I am aware that either channel does better at some times of the day rather than others.

Here are the figures for 2004 compared with 2003 that I just happen to have at hand:

BBC1 - 24.67 (Down 0.95)
BBC2 - 9.95 (Down 1.07)
ITV1 - 22.81 (Down 0.85)
C4 - 9.75 (Up 0.11)
Five - 6.58 (Up 0.12)
Other - 26.24 (Up 2.64)

PRIME TIME

BBC1 - 26.38 (Down 0.89)
BBC2 - 8.83 (Down 0.91)
ITV1 - 30.64 (Down 0.79)
C4 - 8.83 (Up 0.14)
Five - 6.08 (Up 0.33)
Other - 19.23 (Up 2.11)

So as you can see Multi-channel is where it's at. The channel in biggest decline is BBC2. Both Channel 4 and Five are on the up but only by a very tiny margin

What do you mean with the term "multi-channel" (well, as an excuse I can say that I'm from Austria )

For example for Sky: does this mean that the market share is calculated for all channels of BSkyB?

Any channel that isn't the ones we have listed and are available on Digital Terrestrial, Sky Digital and Digital Cable.
