Market Kitchen

How long have BBC Two been showing uktv Food's Market Kitchen? I was flicking through the channels and put it on expecting it to be a different programme, but sharing the same name, however I was proved wrong. Have they done a special deal with uktv Food.

They've been showing it for a couple of weeks I think. I have no idea if they're from an older series or not but the only special deal would be to buy the programme in the same way as UKTV buy a lot of BBC programmes.

years ago bbc two used to show several programmes produced by bbc birmingham for uktv.

BBC Two have been showing an old Mitchell and Web sketch show recently which seems to have been made by the BBC for UKTV's former channel PlayUK.

So it was "Created for UKTV, chosen by the BBC" ?

BBC did a deal with Optimum Television to show an edited version of the Market Kitchen which was shown on the same day the previous week on UKTV Food. It think it's for 40 shows (8 weeks)
