I assume that's the same reason QVC ended up in there, it was a joint venture with Sky.

What an odd question. It wouldn't have mattered where they had a control room, the building wasn't the problem with ITV Digital

The Guardian and Observer didn't share an office until the opening of King's Place in 2008 - previously the Graun was on Farringdon Road, and the Obs was round the corner on Herbal Hill.

According to the TV Studio History website it was actually two buildings separated by a covered atrium: Marcopolo House and Chelsea Bridge House. The latter was home to The Observer http://www.tvstudiohistory.co.uk/independent%20tv%20studios.htm#marco polo

Sorry, I could have been clearer - the Observer were in Marco Polo (or rather Chelsea Bridge) House; then they moved to Herbal Hill, and didn't move in with the Guardian until King's Place.
