OK, during Coronation Street tonight on ITV 1, there were about 6 very short ads, between the others, which just had 'Make a note' written on a post it note.

Anyone got any clues as to what it's about? It's certainly giving the break flashes some hard work to do! Smile

It's been showing a few days now, it was on during last nights Bad Girls on ITV1, and I haven't a clue. But it works I guess, we all want to know what we are making a note for !!!

Maybe it's another of the 118 services.

Ahh yes... could be the yellow pages 118247.

I can't think what else it might be. Adverts for paper?

Unless it's only on ITV1, it could be a programme trailer.

I just seen them on Channel 4 as well between every advert so it probably isn't (I would expect). Smile

It'll probably be something hugely mundane, which'll give everything a huge anticlimax when it's finally revealed. Hate it when advertisers do this - but, yes, it does work, because we're bloody talking about it!

Could be BT's new directory enquiries service, 118 500.

Which reminds me, the last time we had one of these big mystery ad campain was for BT Cellnet becoming o2. It got the forum talking about it then too.

With 192 closing in under 2 weeks it would be a suitable time to advertise one of the new services.

Was that before or after the "Find Lucky" campaign for More Than?

If I got out more, I wouldn't be doing so in a Ford Focus.... more like a Jaguar X-Type, Chrysler Crossfire or an Aston Martin DB7 GT....

It's probably just for Post-It notes. They think it's so obvious that nobody will work it out cause they think it's too obvious.

Ads are starting to do this a bit more lately, I can't remember any recent examples tho, which probably means that they didn't make much of a dent in my memory.

BTW, anybody seen the Vagisil ad? PLEASE don't let there be a huge pile of Vagina cream ads ready to pouce on us like the tampon ads did in the 90's.
