Agree with you there, although I'm a fan of XFM-type music I often tune in for the quality items, and Evening Session (now Zane Lowe). But that's partly 'cos I'm right on the cusp of XFM and can't properly get it...

Not sure what happens if/when Coxy comes back from maternity leave (I hope it's the 'if' rather than 'when'). I think Dave Pearce might get booted out for Scott Mills.

they seem to get a lot of talent from up noth - Nemone was working at Galaxy 102 Manchester..

I love Radio 1 Esp Chris Moyles - verry funny - (he is someone you eather love or hate) the marmite of radio! Smile

He's much better in the Morning than the Afternoon IMO.

Yup they currently do the Breakfast show on Key 103 and The Hits Radio, their contract ends in June. Though the BBC has shown some interest in the duo for some time now, but they made their move a couple of months ago. But if they keep up their Key 103 standards then it will sound good.

Though you're right about Manchester talent as JK and Joel, Chris Evans, Steve Penk and Timmy Mallett have been discovered at Key 103 over the years.

So that's who we blame for the last three then ?

Who have the Midlands had working for them then?

Beacon (& Trent I believe!) had Dale Winton working for them briefly in the 80's, I gather !

Quick - spread the word - Wes appears to be off this Sunday, and hence the man that's only good enough to fill in and not be given the job regularly, Scott Mills, is presenting the Top 40.

I'll be listening for a change.
