I think ITV should bring back Cilla to Saturday night with Blind Date, The Moment of Truth, anything!!!

Cilla wouldn't go back to Blind Date because she resigned by making an announcement right in front of everyone at the beginning of the last show. She realised it was time to end it all. Blind Date was very much past it's sell-by date.

It's very difficult to get it right. Blind Date was a very popular show in it's prime, but it needed to progress (as somebody said about millionaire a few posts back). They did try (I don't know how exactly, I havn't watched it in years), but I think it was too late by then, or it was just a step in the wrong direction.

A lot of younger presenters are either really bland or really annoying, and sometimes both! Look at Fearne Cotton on CBBC, she's terrible! All bounce and mouth, but no real personality. Mel Sykes has no personality. Ant and Dec have too much ego about them for me, they seem like the type of guys who are gonna be messed up in a few years having had too much of a good time. Cat Deely (learned how to spell it) is just "good looks" (actually, she's just another lame blonde girl) and nothing else really. There's too many to mention, and they arn't just on ITV.

Its actually Cat Deeley, and she is a very good presenter. She has personality, as she was so diverse to play so many characters on sm:tv. If you'd watched sm:tv, you wouldnt be calling her a lame blonde girl. Melanie sykes, I agree, not a fan, shes good with des as she's a good sponge for his material and is the one that manages to hold him together, on her own, she should stick to movie premieres like on the big breakfast!

Why cant ant & dec have a good time, they've worked all of their lives trying to make things a success, their pop career, their teen shows, and now that they have finally made it, after the success of sm:tv, which most probably taight them something, they may as well enjoy it! They are fun presenters, good at their job, and are most probably two of the best for doing what they do in these times. I'm not saying that they are morcombe and wise, but they are good in their own way!

Having a good time isn't bad, but TOO MUCH of a good time certainly is! Look at the embarrisment that sex and drugs brought to the likes of Angus Deaton and Frank Bough. I really don't know if I spelled their surnames correctly - I'm having a real problem with that lately, and yes I did realise I'd missed an e out of Deeley, but I was tired and couldn't be arsed to edit it.

Anyway, not saying that sex and drugs are definately a part of Ant and Dec's lives (they have girlfriends I think, so I presume they are faithful and don't need to sleep around), but I saw them at an awards do on TV. They had collected one award, let their guard down, got hammered (by the looks of it), and then got taken by surprise by another award and had to go up to the stage in a desheviled state. Not very professional. This is what gives me the impression that they are on a slippery slope. Don't be fooled, NOBODY on TV is the saint they make out to be all the time.

not that im the biggest fan of ant and dec but they must be good at what they do to have loyal fans who dont give up on them or get pissed off with them when one of them has a fling with a lap dancer despite of the girlfriend. and the other one is caught driving at a ridiculous 120mph. despite being on tv more than half lives i dont think they are mixed up in the drugs circuit of showbiz even if there have been offers. but i dont believe them to be as down to earth as they make out what with all the hype they get.

and tess daly deserves to be dropped from itv. what is she? now theres your lame blonde girl. incuding a joker grin.

I knew there must've been some tabloid stories on them somewhere. I wouldn't believe everything the papers say either tho.

Slightly concerned that Lisa Riley tops the poll...hope this has nothing to do with her size. If that's why you voted for her SHAME ON YOU.

It's probably more to do with the fact that she can't present.

Why get rid of carol, the only programmes she is doing for itv are better homes, which is a good show, I always feel that its more up market changing rooms, i dont know why; and britains brainiest, which she has only done one show of as tess daly presented the qualifiers.

They seem to be taking the wrong approach. They should be making their current presenters better. They are lucky to have so many tallented presenters. Some should be used for one job, I like Mel Sykes with Des on today with... but at primetime, im sorry, but Davina was better at the vault and cilla was better at the whole moment of truth/celebs under pressure show.

If they are dropping so many people, I hope that they pick up new unknown people and use them. There are any talented presenters and actors out there that are better than most current people, but never get a chance.

One problem that itv have are the handcuffs deals with people like ross kemp and martin kemp, ant & dec I can understand as they do get ratings and are two of the most talented in the business. But when they go shoving money that could be spent on better programming, just because of previous success, doesnt always mean full time success.

A while a go Carol Vorderman had two programmes on ITV one evening and she gave ITV their lowest audience share in the history of ITV.
