Jim Rosenthal??? Why drop him??? He is one of ITV's long standing faces and is one of the stations most versatile sport's presenting faces!

He's presented:-
The Big Fight Live!
The Big Match!
ITV Athletics
Rugby
Rugby World Cup
Formula 1
Central Sports Special
World Cup Football

So he's one of the station's best presenters and should not go!!!!

Out of the others:-

Lisa Riley Rolling Eyes , Tara Rolling Eyes and Mark durden Smith should go. Where did they get him from???

All the rest should stay!

Especially Ant and Dec!

Why would they want to do that, who would you want to replace him I wonder?

Judith Chalmers' womb, via Sky Sports and RI:SE.

Get rid of Melanie Sykes for certain, she is awful, she seems like she is reading from an autocue, there is nothing remotely natural about her presenting.

Don't like much of t others either.

For god's sake don't give them ideas about foreign Millionaire on ITV2!

I forgot to mention also - Carol Vorderman is up for the chop too.

Why get rid of carol, the only programmes she is doing for itv are better homes, which is a good show, I always feel that its more up market changing rooms, i dont know why; and britains brainiest, which she has only done one show of as tess daly presented the qualifiers.

They seem to be taking the wrong approach. They should be making their current presenters better. They are lucky to have so many tallented presenters. Some should be used for one job, I like Mel Sykes with Des on today with... but at primetime, im sorry, but Davina was better at the vault and cilla was better at the whole moment of truth/celebs under pressure show.

If they are dropping so many people, I hope that they pick up new unknown people and use them. There are any talented presenters and actors out there that are better than most current people, but never get a chance.

One problem that itv have are the handcuffs deals with people like ross kemp and martin kemp, ant & dec I can understand as they do get ratings and are two of the most talented in the business. But when they go shoving money that could be spent on better programming, just because of previous success, doesnt always mean full time success.

I agree Cilla was a much better presenter on the moment of truth than Mel is on Celeb's Under Pressure. I think ITV should bring back Cilla to Saturday night with Blind Date, The Moment of Truth, anything!!!

In TV terms, how much would a low budget BlindDate (with Cilla) cost to make? I don't particularly like the show and it shouldn't return to ITV1, but it'd be nice to have some "exclusive home-made" shows on ITV2.

Cilla wouldn't go back to Blind Date because she resigned by making an announcement right in front of everyone at the beginning of the last show. She realised it was time to end it all. Blind Date was very much past it's sell-by date.

It's very difficult to get it right. Blind Date was a very popular show in it's prime, but it needed to progress (as somebody said about millionaire a few posts back). They did try (I don't know how exactly, I havn't watched it in years), but I think it was too late by then, or it was just a step in the wrong direction.

A lot of younger presenters are either really bland or really annoying, and sometimes both! Look at Fearne Cotton on CBBC, she's terrible! All bounce and mouth, but no real personality. Mel Sykes has no personality. Ant and Dec have too much ego about them for me, they seem like the type of guys who are gonna be messed up in a few years having had too much of a good time. Cat Deely (learned how to spell it) is just "good looks" (actually, she's just another lame blonde girl) and nothing else really. There's too many to mention, and they arn't just on ITV.

Yes I know Cilla resigned while on the show - she didnt do it on the last show, she resigned at Xmas time when they had a live special. They tried to make Blind Date more modern by having the Ditch or Date thing, which I thought was quite good. It was funny when someone was ditched on the show LOL

All I was saying was it would be nice to have Cilla back as she is much better than some of the other presenters like Davina, Tara and Mel. I think Blind Date was a bit of light entertainment on a Saturday night, and it was a damn sight better than Millionaire is now.

I think shes pretty much burnt her bridges with ITV, plus ITV should also be doing more to develop new presenters. There is a distinct lack of new talent around.
