Magnus Magnusson has died

Can't remember that specifically, but I recall MM saying on Have I Got News For You that he dreaded pronouncing French names/words

He also got complaints from viewers, after he had supposedly given Jesus's first name as "Reginald". He actually had said: "What is Jeeves's first name"!

MM also once couldn't remember the name of Marilyn Munroe's third husband (Arthur Miller), so he gave the name of the surgeon who operated on his mother's kidneys instead as a guess-- or something like that anyway!

Magnus's passing is great loss to television, I especially like his appearances on Dictionary Corner on [/I]Countdown[I]-- he was always entertainingly educating.

It is very sad to hear this. I loved his calm, almost minimalist presenting style, and slightly self-deprecating manner.
