I think you've answered most of your own questions there.

It's quite well known that the Wed/Thurs editions of 'GMTV with Lorraine' are recorded on Tuesday afternoons.

As for most of your other question marks, I doubt anyone is bothered whether they are live or recorded. If they are recorded they probably squeeze them in when something more lucrative isn't using the studio facilities!

Many programmes used to appear 'as live', but that concept was replaced by delayed broadcasts which enabled networks to comply with Ofcom regulations on decency to prevent the easily-offended viewer from spitting out their breakfast/lunch/dinner/kebab while watching TV.

How could you ask about programmes like Daily Politics, Newsnight, Live from Studio 5, The One Show et al?

A little known fact, Thursday's edition of Newsnight is actually recorded on a Tuesday afternoon.

Shows shot in large, expensive, third party studios (like Titchmarsh, O'Grady etc.) are more likely to pre-record some shows, so that they can reduce the number of days they need to pay for the studio.

Shows that have their own dedicated facilities (often smaller studios) are less likely to pre-record - though some may also do so if their presenters are only contracted for a smaller number of days each week, and if they don't have a specific requirement to be "newsy" or "daily topical".

The smaller the studio, the more topical the content, the more likely they are to be live...

Thanks. I have updated my first post with this information.

Bothered? No. Interested? Yes. One person is anyway.

I wasn't asking about those. I already had the details. I just included them because they are live magazine/news shows.

Well, obviously not but it could be recorded on Thursday just before broadcast in theory. I think I speak for most people when I say we trust the BBC not to do this but I thought I would include it anyway because if it was shown on another network then I might not be so sure.
