I've almost just fallen off my chair 4 times this Lunchtime whilst watching ITV in the Yorkshire region
First, the ITV News was presented by a women with no name, who I'd never seen before
Then the ITV National Weather presenter was a big shock, It was none other than YTV's John 'Heres your sumareeee' Mitchell.
In fact the YTV presentation team must also have been taken aback, as we ended up with a YTV local ident 'Umm a ning ning'ing away to itself, with no
annoucement!
Then finally, Calendar News was 'With Anne-Marie Tasker', They must really be short of female presenters (I haven't seen Karen Petch for a while) or maybe they're training up all the reporters to presenters

The problem with the short ITV News bulletins is that
a) Theres no 'From ITN, the ITV News with...'
b) The annoucer prior to the programme don't tell us
c) Theres no caption
So therefore the person remains annoymous!

Yes, it's annoying, that. They should bring up the aston like they do overnight on ITV, but luckily I know most of their names anyway.

From getting up early in the morning, I think that Sharon Gray reads the news overnight, but from past Morning News programmes (1990's), Denis Tuohy and Phil Roman used to present it. Didn't they used to take a massive chunk of the programme for their slot called 'ITN WORLD NEWS'? Anyway, I hoped this has helped!!

Also of interest, Charlotte Doney did the 3.25pm and 10.25pm Look North today. There was a proper clock at 10 voiced by the usual annoucer.

Yeah, yesterday, a generic ident appeared with no announcer. And why does Survivor sometimes come on without an ident - the announcer speaking to a montage of Survivor logos and images!?!

On the subject of strange presenters on ITV Weather, there was once another woman presenting it, but I only saw her once. She was quite young with long dark hair. Do I assume that she was from one of the regions? I think it was late last year on a Saturday.
