Currently at £820. Which might be a bit of a bargain, considering you don't just get the tapes, but the rights to show them too. And 820 Nectar points too!

I just came here to post this (I saw Paul Akinbola's post on Facebook too).

It seems quite dodgy, why have they given a YouTube login to view the example clips? Why not just upload them to YouTube and allow them to be viewed in the normal way? The password for the YouTube account has been changed by someone and the audio on the clips has been swapped with Audio Network/Bid TV music now, which is unsurprising when you give out your password on a public website.

Also, didn't Kelvin MacKenzie destroy most/all/some of the early L!ve TV archive? This can never be the complete archive, probably just the later stuff.

A good chance for someone to own some of Charlotte Gane's early work though, albeit mainly behind the scenes stuff. She was the voice of Lie Detector though of course.

EDIT: I think I worked out who defaced the YouTube account. My finger is pointing towards the ** lads.

Hi Dave,
I've made some enquiries and it appears it was not the work of **. We have had a whip-round though and are ready to collaborate with yourself and anybody else who is interested in purchasing the archive.

Let me know if you're interested.

You mean someone is interested in buying the entire run of Canary Wharf?

(Did I hear a rumour at least one actor doesnt include it on their CV?)

Didnt Joanne Malin work there at one point?

The seller has confirmed that they have no paperwork, essentially meaning that any attempts at clip/programme sales would be entirely at the owner's own risk.

Well the footage of Jimmy Frinton alone is worth £12000, even without any paperwork.

Not really. The brand and domain have value...

Hat Trick Productions paid me £100 back in 2006 to use some of my off-air L!VE TV footage, recorded on VHS when I was a bored 10 year old in 1999 (no, none of the naughty stuff). Think some of it appeared on, of all things, a Cilla Black episode of 'Room 101'. I assumed at the time it was because the original archive didn't exist or cost too much, and they found my youtube clips instead...

But with no paperwork, who says the brand is actually owned by the seller? Everything about this screams scam. I have no doubt that the winner will end up with some video tapes but it won't be a complete archive of L!ve TV as described. We also don't know how these tapes have been stored for the past 14 years, the images on ebay suggest not particularly well.

I do hope that somehow the tapes end up with someone who can care for them properly. Does anyone know if Paul Chaplin is aware of this sale?

I don't know if he is, but Jimmy Frinton is aware of the sale.

The YouTube channel states "I love Anthony Davis and I hate L!VE TV. Except that sexy Jimmy Frinton." I think you need to continue your enquires, WillPS.
