Lucy Hockings!!

I've finally got to see Lucy Hockings - the Australian News presenter. She presented BBC News 24 this morning! (She was actually presenting BBC World, but at 0930, News 24 joins BBC World.)

What if someone else at the Beeb is also called Heather McCarthy, how do you know its gone to the right person. There could be a very flattered BBC cleaner somewhere!

Also has any one seen a Scottish weather presenter called Gail?
coz i went on a tour of the BBC TVC last year and met her in traning but havent seen her on Telly, has any one seen her??

Yes, I've met her too - sorry doesn't answer the question - but I spent a morning there in August and she was really friendly. She was on secondment for a few months I think.

I have seen Lucy a few times presenting the morning editions of BBC World News, she even presented 'This Week', BBC Worlds' equalivent of '7 days'

Gail is Gail Pirie. She does a weather bulletin in the 7.50am bulletin in Reporting Scotland. At the same time, she does a radio weather bulletin for Radio Scotland nationally in 'Good Morning Scotland' as well as for Radio Scotland in the south-west, where I live and who I used to work for.

She also sometimes does the TV weather bulletins in Reporting Scotland in the evening when Heather Reid is on holiday.
