Although talking of ITV axing shows and perhaps seeing the error of their ways, this made me chuckle. A return to the old, desperate ITV perhaps?

It's Now or Never returns for ITV1 winter
It's Now or Never, the Philip Schofield fronted entertainment show that ITV dropped after a single episode this summer, will return to primetime in December as part of the broadcaster's winter schedule.

There were only 2 episodes actually made, so this "return" is for the other unseen episode. It will probably do much better over the holiday period rather in the height of summer, and it wasn't actually that bad in the first place.

Isn't the post Christmas slot just the usual dumping ground for programmes that have been axed earlier in the year?

It's just a filler programme. ITV usually doesn't make an effort over the Christmas period so it's just something to put on. There is no way they'll be bringing it back for a full series.

Strange time to axe it, isnt it?

Surely it hasn't been axed, just not re-commissioned

I don't think that there was actually anything wrong with the format, or the presenters.

It was everything to do with the format - it was weak and derivative
