Why is tonight's lottery draw by the precious BBC on so late ? It's at the ridiculous hour of 10:35 !!! Evil or Very Mad
Why can't the silly buggers put it on earlier ? Or better still give it to itv?
I get fed up of the overblown quiz element on a Saturday too.
I just want to see the draw ! Confused

The Wednesday draw is always at 10:35pm now, so it doesn't get moved around due to football, as Uncle Bruce said.

ITV probably wouldn't want to pay for it, its hardly a ratings winner anymore.

Well, it's at 22:35, except for Fatty Holmes' bit, which he has to record in the afternoon, so he can get an early night!

It's not too difficult surely to knock 5 mins. off the endless Colemanballs before and during a soccer match to give us the lottery result at a decent hour. Who needs fatty holmes anyway ? All we want to see is the balls going in and coming out of the bloody machine. Put it on earlier BBC!!!!

Does anyone give a shyte if the Lottery has been booted to 10.35pm? If I wanted the Lottery results I'd look on Ceefax of the Net. You can tell the BBC want it out of the way on a Wednesday, as they cannot have a straight schedule like every other night, that means they have to have a 40-50 minute programme, not 30 or 60.

It would have been better if they still had Points of View at 8.45pm and the Lottery at 8.30pm, as it used to be.

Why can't the lottery just be incorporated into the news like in America (as shown in "The Simpson" or does that only apply to "The Simpsons"

IIRC it used to be for a few years when it was still popular, then it just disappeared. When the Lottery was at it's peak ITV would have an update of the draw so viewers wouldn't tune into BBC1, where as Sky 1 used to flash up the numbers on the bottom of the screen.

AFAIK the BBC1 announcer still reads the results out after the late News whenever the main draw is held.
