Was that chat on Lost the one from Hetty Weinthrop? Just that someone else mentioned her earlier in the thread and it did look a bit like the younger sidekick!
PS Lost was pants - ive seen the whole of the first series and you will all become disappointed by the end!

You won't get a clue from just watching ten minutes. Part of the story is told in flashback to what happened ont he plane just before the crash (I thought they linked Charlie's and Jack's last pre-crash moments well).

This is a little unrealistic isn't it. I've just been watching the last ten mintues after BB. The plane starts crashing and in the next scene. A couple of people are sunbathing on the beach with the plane in flames acting as if nothing has happened and in all the characters shown, none of them have any cuts or bruises!

I'm not 100% sure about this. It was good - far better than anything we produce at the moment (except Shameless) - but not that good. I'll blame that on the hype though and I'm sure it'll be worth sticking with it.
Someone mentioned the ratings. 6.1m for the 8.30pm, peaking at 6.8m at 9.15pm and the fourth highest rated programme of the day (behind Corrie, Emmerdale and Big Brother). The second show got 5.9m.
More interesting though is the E4 ratings at 11pm of 1.5m watching episode 3. This will put a dent into next weeks ratings (predict the headlines "A quarter of viewers are lost!") but more interestingly, did E4 win the late-night ratings battle?
And a final thought. Do you think Lost would be better scheduled in the 8pm slot.
It's debut proved it can pull the ratings - and scheduling it at 8pm means E4 can screen the next episode at 9pm in the middle of prime-time! Also as a US network programme, there should be no problems with adult content!

Dunno about that, Channel 4 already cut out two of the more gory scenes last night. The first part should have ended with a much gorier shot of the bloodied pilot at the top of the tree but was cut.

OK - I wonder if that will be included in the late-repeats over the weekend?
