Technical problems on ITV1Wales this morning. The 11am bulletin started without sound and switched to the ITV1 West feed within a few minutes.

Edit: After the weather, the newsreader said "We're having problems with our Wales transmitter, so we've been joined by our Welsh neighbours. I can tell you it's going to be just as wet and windy across the Severn"

A very slick recovery considering we're lead to believe there's no one caring what goes out during the regional slot.

Perhaps this was transmitter problems owing to the bad weather. I know we are in for a bad night (again) in Devon & Cornwall. I took the dog out earlier and the poor thing was getting blown all over the place Rolling Eyes

I'll be expecting my Sky+ box to need re-booting at some point!

I know normally you can get bad sunburn (without realising at first) when skiiing, because of the clear skies and high UV levels. But it's unusual to get that effect when it's raining, as that normally means denser cloud layers.

Are you sure you haven't not a fautly nuclear power station nearby that is irradiating you and causing this effect Shocked

Good - HTV has always been highly committed to regional services and still clings on to them strongly today, with added humour!

More likely the feed from HTV Wales to London had failed rather than the TX - given that there are several transmitters.

All ITV Regions seem to be suffering with the bad weather, as Anglia News (West) totally lost the live feed of one of their stories tonight, and then when it came back it kept freezing.

Hardly representative though, the people involved work in regional news programmes, they will care more than anyone elset!
