Yesterday's pre-recorded show had a very abrupt ending. After a pre-scheduled live news break at 9am, Lorraine returned talking fashion with Mark, not the heavily-trailed 9am interview with Kimberly Walsh. It seems someone mixed the final two parts of the show up and played them in the wrong order. At 9.21 Lorraine was still promising fashion to come, before Laura popped up to give us the weather, followed by the end cap.

I thought they ditched the news at 9? And since when has Laura presented weather for Lorraine?

I was just about to ask the same question as Multi. They used to have one of the GMB team reading the news at 9am in Lorraine up until some point around a year ago when they stopped doing it. Is it only because of the recent terrorism fears/breaking stories or is this now a daily thing again?

It was just yesterday. All of Lorraine's shows this week have been heavy on news, so wisely they decided to put in a live update in yesterday's pre-recorded show. Unwisely they messed up, didn't cover it well with some hasty editing and presumably got Laura back in the GMB studio to fill the final minute of air time.

Lorraine presented all this week except for Friday where it was Fiona Phillips which I thought was a surprise.

Normally I thought the plan was that Lorraine for Friday was recorded on Thursday after the show that day. But it seemed Fiona was the presenter for Friday.

It makes me think that has the prerecorded programmes been scrapped now? (geekiness comes out now) I don't think they have because the time on Friday's shows are slightly different then the live shows. And Friday's show with Fiona did have the dodgy time which made me think it was prerecorded.

If Friday's show was prerecorded why couldn't Lorraine do it? Maybe we'll just have to wait for next week to see if Fiona is back on Friday or for the week.

Was the programme crammed to rafters with 'B*l**ck Friday' deals by any chance?

Lorraine was at ITV Big Roadshow on Thursday.

I suspect recent news events have led to the decision to keep the Friday edition live.

I think the Lorraine team/ITV need to ask Hillary's to develop a different sponsor commercial that is of a more sombre tone for days when there is tragic news. When you watch the video below, you can see the "It's a beautiful day" advert was played after Lorraine speaking about the tragic events in Brussels. This is very disrespectful, although I know ITV have to play the adverts Hillary's have paid for; it doesn't reflect well on them.

Today i noticed the set has had a slight refresh. The blinds on the windows have been changed to summery blinds and there were shutters added to one of the windows.
