I don't really get who'd want to be in the audience at that time of day.

Just look at Sunrise in Australia and they have people outside their window at tat time of day, and when BBC Breakfast do outside broadcasts on the quays they also have onlookers - so yes I would assume their is an audience for that time of day

It's one thing looking in as your passing by though and another getting yourself tickets for a show at 8.30am. I know The Big Breakfast used to put on events and fill the gardens some mornings, and indeed did a couple of roadshows, but that is quite a different show to Lorraine.

Then again, if they offer a free breakfast it might be worth it.

Doesn't something similar happen in America, is it Fox & Friends or some other big American breakfast programme have a window for passers by to look in and wave through?

As to demand, well, there would be a difference between being in the audience for Lorraine, going out live, and the audience for Mrs Browns Boys, which is pre-recorded and you probably get to see much more stuff that goes out on the edited programme.

As others have said - there is a big difference between being a studio audience member and staring through a street-side window for a minute or two.

That said, I doubt they will struggle too hard to get people to sit in a studio of a morning. Though it will be easier if they are just there as set-dressing rather than having to editorially contribute (which is a harder gig to crack)

There is a song that GMB & Lorraine are using quite a lot lately. GMB are using it when coming out of a break, whilst Lorraine used it for when guests came down the steps on yesterday and today's show. Can anyone ID it?

Caught some of Tuesday's Lorraine, the audience seems to work really well & has been well executed with the themes for each day. Hopefully it's something they could perhaps do more regularly in the future, as it's been mentioned many times when lorraine launched back in 2010 there was talk of adding a live audience.

"Audience With Lorraine" is a bit of an awkward title. I wonder if they were not allowed to use An Audience With. "Lorraine and Friends" or something like that would have been better.

I was in the audience on Tuesday, we did get tea and pastries before going on set. Really enjoyed being in the audience and watching from home. I don't see how an audience set up like it was this week would work every day, every week.

Yesterday's pre-recorded show had a very abrupt ending. After a pre-scheduled live news break at 9am, Lorraine returned talking fashion with Mark, not the heavily-trailed 9am interview with Kimberly Walsh. It seems someone mixed the final two parts of the show up and played them in the wrong order. At 9.21 Lorraine was still promising fashion to come, before Laura popped up to give us the weather, followed by the end cap.

I thought they ditched the news at 9? And since when has Laura presented weather for Lorraine?

I was just about to ask the same question as Multi. They used to have one of the GMB team reading the news at 9am in Lorraine up until some point around a year ago when they stopped doing it. Is it only because of the recent terrorism fears/breaking stories or is this now a daily thing again?
