From what I've seen on here, the studio certainly looks very bare compared to previous sets, but I can't understand why people are calling it 'dark'.
The textured wall behind the sofa looks the same as that used in some of the brown panels in the GMB studio, although obviously better lit. Could this be the start of them bringing the two styles into line for a later joint set next Spring at TVC?
To me, the new theme sounds a bit like the GMTV axed music (Just some hints here and there). I'm not really a fan of it to be honest. The whole title sequence just looks like one giant advert and I find her dancing around like a lemon and blowing confetti very cringe worthy. They'll be changing the titles next month I guess to try and attempt to remove the cringyness of it. It's alright to see for the first time as a revamped show, but not all the time.
the second shot of her titles is used twice. the second time its a further out shot. must say though. I really like the theme tune. who composed it. it seems too good for sitting duck if I'm honest
Of course there was never cooking on LK Today or GMTV with Lorraine, and when they did introduce cooking, people here slammed it for being far too similar to This Morning.
I must say I'm not a fan of a single change they've made. It all seems like a step backwards. The set must be for practical reasons as I fail to see how anybody thinks that that is an improvement.

It all looks terrible. Though to be fair I remember thinking the previous set was a bit too classy for the content!
The studio isn't as bad as people are making out and is certainly not dark. Could do with a few bits and pieces but it looks fine.
Those new titles are ridiculous though, I wonder what she was thinking when she was told what they wanted her to do when they were filming them.
Maybe dark is the wrong word, there's enough light but the really bright pink lighting and the deep blue lighting has a strange effect. It feels more like an evening program as a result. If they toned done the lighting a lot it wouldn't look as bad. If they just had the pink lighting it would probably look better.
I also think the 'polka dot' concept is pretty poor, it's too simple. The moving circles were better, and were more consistent with the rest of the look.
