It's a long time for any actor to play the same part
This joke is getting tired now. In fact it got tired a long time ago. She is absolutely entitled to her work status for multiple reasons as comprehensively adjudicated in a court of law.
Each of the studios at TVC will probably have it's own fairly low powered transmitters, and when moving to a different studio you'll go out of range and only hear bits of what being transmitted.
That was very much the case for the 24 hour broadcast Pip Schofield did from TLS with regular changes of mic and talkback belt packs as he walked between studios.
I've not always been a fan of Lorraine, but did begin to like her on GMTV and also Daybreak. She's found her niche, and done very well in it. She is certainly a professional who knows how to play to her audience and their fickle changing habits. I hope she continues for many more years.
It has to be said her warmth and genuine style has helped with the multiple of amazing strands they e run over the years breast cancer awareness, autism amongst the many she’s supported and championed over the years
Top of the Morning (1993)
Quarter to Nine (1994)
Nine O'Clock Live (1994-?)
Lorraine Live (1998-2000)
LK Today (2000 - 2008)
GMTV with Lorraine (2008-10)
Lorraine (2010 - present)
After Nine was a segment on TV-am. Eventually presented by newsreader Jayne Irving and sportswoman turned tv presenter Kathy Tayler.
I don’t recall if Lorraine presented it for a while during the Tv-am days.

I dont believe she ever did do After nine, she did do TVAM Reports on Sunday morning. by 1989 did the main programme. She moved from Top of the Morning as a stop gap in Mid March 93 and that were she stayed until she left for maternity leave, in June 94 and was in fact sacked.
She returned thanks to pressure for a sponsor in November 1994 to do a mother and baby slot. I dont believe she got Nine O'Clock Live until early 95, and that where it started to take off., of course during school holls it was kids shows. Lorraine Live come about in 1997.
