Kaye used to be the main presenter of LW from day one in 1999 so it makes sense that she is a deputy presenter along with Nadia and Colleen to cover when Christine and Ruth aren't there.

Kaye isn't considered a deputy. As noted last year with the first time the four main lead presenters came together, Andrea, Christine, Ruth and Kaye.

Don’t forget all hosts and panelist’s do have other commitments and roles outside of LW. So it’s probably not simply a case of them being dragged up or down for a day or two just for an hour of live LW.

Glorious Goodwood this week pushing the news back to 1pm, so Loose Women will be "AXED" midway through each episode for the remainder of the week.

You would think now This Morning has the extra half hour that they could give 15 minutes over to Loose Women to start at 12.15pm on the days it is cut short - hardly seems worth bothering for half an hour. Indeed they might as well pre-record the Wed and Fri show the day before.

This Morning is a bigger priority to ITV than Loose Women and always has been.

The thing I don't understand is, everyone has Freeview at least - why can't they put these sports things over on ITV4. I thought the same when they chopped GMB off last year at 7:40am to show Rugby. It doesn't make any sense.

Because they have duty to organisers and advertisers to ensure the bigger the audiences see the bigger events. Everyone has Freeview but people are less likely to find it there.

It’s the difference between just the core racing fans watching and those with a slight interest occasionally watching.

Also ITV 4 isn’t in HD on Freeview and Freesat at least.

It’s no different to questioning why BBC One shows the news when they can see it on the news channel.

The racing also brings in a demo that is worth more than the usual ITV Daytime viewer. Likewise the rugby.

It works the other way too - for a time they did try moving Loose Women to ITV2 but obviously the lower audience there didn't make it worth while.

Sport absolutely has a place on the primary channels and if it means disrupting a show which is already shown 250 times a year on the channel then so be it.
