Yeah that set looks SO much better with a black curtain.

The blue curtain was a deliberate creative choice to make the set feel more intimate. I hope that's something they rethink when things get back to normal.

Considering it is only in shot briefly on the wide shots it really doesn't matter.

Not watched it myself, I've only seen the screengrabs on here, but it does seem odd for a daytime talk show like Loose Women being broadcast from a big studio that's originally meant for big "shiny floor" entertainment shows

None of it really matters, but I think it's an improvement. The blue curtain looks awful in the other studio and is seen quite often on screen, particularly behind the audience.

Not too much different really from Blue Peter being in there when although the space allowed them to do bigger things they haven't been able to do in recent years in reality 90% of the time they didn't need much space at all.

I guess there are other sets semi-permanently rigged in there? Graham Norton's green screen and desk for example?

Surely Graham is doing that from home?

Yeah, it's not in TC1. Graham is recording from an "isolated place". https://www.procam.tv/news/case-studies/procam-helps-so-television-keep-the-cameras-rolling-remotely-on-the-graham-norton-show

Graham does his show from his home in Wapping, London. A little look inside his home can be seen here - https://www.hellomagazine.com/homes/gallery/2020050189094/inside-graham-norton-house-london/4/

It’s good to see your obsession with TV studio buildings has extended to home studios.

I know we've slightly touched upon the "What if" of this had happened 20 years earlier before the internet changed the way we can shop and work, but in TV terms the "what if" question I have is how the unions of the 70s and 80s would have viewed anyones husband, wife or son taking on "skilled" roles to get a show to air - although of course the technology today is quite different to back then.
