One annoying thing I’ve noticed recently is they make mistakes over which guests are on what days... they advertised Rylan and Sarah Hadland at the end of yesterday’s show and neither was on today with no explanation.

Sometimes people do drop out at the last minute.

Only three women on today’s panel.

Christine, Nadia & Jane. They’ve discussed that Carol McGiffin wasn’t well enough to come on air.

Edit. Rochelle has joined after the first set of adverts, having been on this morning earlier.

I’m surprised they don’t have someone in reserve who can jump in but given that Carol was there that morning in the meetings, it must have happened close to transmission

Rochelle did okay for someone who was brought it at the very last minute

This is how Linda Robson got the gig on Loose Women. Years ago, she was sometimes pulled-in at the last minute as a guest panelist if someone pulled out. The reason being that Linda lived quite close to the place of broadcasting at that time. (Not sure where that was).

Five years later, Linda then became a permanent panelist.

Probally the South Bank and she lives in Islington I think so not far.

Robbie Williams and Julie Hesmondhalgh on the show later today. Julie was one of the very first Loose Women back in the day.

I think yesterday’s show was recorded - they didn’t say the “Live” bit on the intro and also Julie said she was on Loose Women “when it used to be live”.

It was definitely LIVE yesterday. I think the panel line-up maybe changed at the last moment, hence it may not have appeared live but it definitely was.

I think what Julie said was “when it was Live Talk”, which is the name the show had for a short period of time. I could be wrong.

The “accidental” walk-on by Robbie Williams yesterday: was that deliberate, do we think? Or genuinely accidental.

Yes Julie said "when it used to be Live Talk", although she was a panellist when it started as Loose Women.

Also the announcer did say it was live at the start of Friday's show.

I went on the TVC tour the other day and the guide said it's a deliberate choice to use that horrible blue curtain to make the set feel more intimate. There's a black curtain right behind it (which Lorraine uses).
