Presumably that's the reason he agreed to it.

An interview with Peirs Morgan would have been better though.

I feel very uncomfortable when celebrity friends come out and defend those in these sort of situations. The majority of people that are sexually abused are done so by someone close to them. In most cases, even the closest friends or family members of the perpetrator are often oblivious to the fact that it is going on.

Irrelevant of this specific case (as Cliff has been cleared), it doesn't send a very promising message to those that have been abused and want to come forward.

Interesting camera pan at the 1pm open. Came around from the back to the right of the desk.

Also Ruth's last show for the summer. Won't be on loose women again until September as she'll be presenting this morning almost full time. Will be interesting to see who fills in! Will be good to see a few different presenters over the next couple of months.

How long has it been since they've ditched the normal theme in the opening sequence? And did this happen the same time as they dropped 'The View' style coming up sequence?

They still do use the theme and titles. They seem to chop and change it. The theme and titles have certainly been used a few times since the "coming up" intro was dropped.

Personally, I think they it has gone back to how it was prior to 2014, Judy Finnigan has Gone, I can't see Kaye, Jane and Janet staying for much longer either, nor Jamelia.

Kaye, Jane and Janet all still seem to be enjoying it. Jamelia is the only one that has cut down her appearances.

Notably, Kaye was the lead presenter on Wednesday, despite Coleen also being on the panel. For the last year or so, Coleen has always been the lead presenter when Kaye is on. Coleen was the lead presenter on Monday, however.

Jane and Janet still appear to be permanent fixtures, albeit Janet down to only 1 or 2 appearances per week, down from 3.

Coleen and Andrea are the only panelists who appear consistently for 3 days a week at present, given that Ruth is away.

Kaye, Nadia, Jane, Gloria, June and even Janet all capable of taking the left-hand seat during the summer period as fill-in for Ruth, in addition to Coleen and Andrea, of course.

Coleen is been a regular anchor since January, before that she made a couple of cover days in July as anchor for Kaye when Kaye did alternate Wednesday, then after September Kaye was a Panelist from then on, so Andrea did alternate Wednesday aswell as Thursday and Friday, this meant Coleen appeared a few more times, then after Christmas Ruth and Andrea now alternate, with Coleen anchoring every second Wednesday. Gloria most recently anchored last July on occasion and just the other week she did the cliff Richard special if that counts.

Not sure what happened today, I was watching on plus 1 and towards the end of the programme I got a screen about legal issues meaning they were unable to show some of the discussions with Michael Kelly.

Looks like another shake up and it has been confirmed Judy Finnigan has been axed after been away for a year.

Loose Women panel to get shake-up

'Loose Women' are set to get a huge shake-up over the next coming months as bosses attempt to make the show more fun.

'Loose Women' is set to get a panel shake-up.

Bosses of the lunchtime debate show are keen to push the programme to ever greater success and believe the only way to do so is by ditching and replacing some of the panellists.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "There are lots of exciting surprises in the pipeline for September. It will be back bigger and better than ever to build on current success."

Producers are remaining tight-lipped on who will be dropped over the next coming months but it's believed Ruth Langsford and Andrea McLean will remain as the show's main hosts.

Coleen Nolan, Sherrie Hewson, Janet Street Porter and Nadia Sawalha are also thought to be safe from the chop, while Judy Finnigan, who is rarely on it anyway, has been axed.

Katie Price and Vicky Pattison - who were brought in as panellists earlier this year - have proved a huge hit with viewers over the past seven months and are reportedly being lined-up to make a return for a few episodes in the autumn - depending on their work schedules.

Meanwhile, Myleene Klass and Rebecca Adlington, who have made a few appearances, aren't scheduled for more dates.

The show's shake-up comes following the departure of Martin Frizell as the new editor Sally Shelford is determined to make the programme "less newsy and more fun."

Personally in my opinion the show needs to be newsy and a set panel, something like this

WK 1
Ruth, Coleen, Nadia, Jane
Ruth, Coleen, June, JSP
Ruth, Coleen, Sherrie, JSP
Andrea, Gloria, June, Jane
Andrea, Nadia, Hilary, Kaye

WK 2
Andrea, Nadia, Saira, Jane
Ruth, Coleen, June, JSP
Ruth, Coleen, Penny, JSP
Andrea, Gloria, Sherrie, Jane
Andrea, Nadia, Guest Panelist, Kaye
